Summer ‘24 Ministry Internship!

Archer’s Chapel Church is a rural, multi-generational church on a mission to lay a foundation for solid, excellent, life-giving youth ministry. We are passionate about loving God and loving people. Interns must be willing to work hard, take initiative, receptive to constructive criticism, and teachable. Interns must also be willing to be flexible and adaptable.

Archer’s Chapel Church desires to hire a NextGen Pastor in the near future. This internship could serve as an on-ramp for the right person looking for a pastoral role.

Date of Internship: This is a PAID internship for Summer 2024 (10-12 weeks depending on your schedule)

General Job Description:

• To assist the Lead Pastor in ministry serving the youth of the church and their parents.

• General Ministry assistance as needed so as to give you greater experience in ministry leadership.

Hours: Full-Time

• This is a full-time internship. While week-to-week may change, the general expectation is that you would manage your time so as to be in the office for meetings, planning, and preparation and also fulfilling hours through the practice of ministry.

• Express a clear call to vocational ministry

• Must be a dynamic teacher/preacher of God’s Word

• A love of students

• People-driven

• Reliable

Responsibilities:

• Weekly Planning and evaluation Meeting with Pastor Franco

• Planning all aspects of youth services and delegating to appropriate leaders for duration of internship.

• Work with lead pastor to create communication plan for parents

• Work with lead pastor to create detailed small group ministry plan

• Create plan for student leadership team

• Spend time with students in group settings

• Plan academic year calendar for youth leaders to execute.

  • Game nights

  • Special events

• Preach 1 or 2 Sunday morning services over summer.
